More on Canzeri & Collins Commits (Videos)

Here is the Canzeri video pulled out.

He sees the hole, decides, then he gets to top speed real quick..also looks like a much faster and more confident player on artificial surface..notice how much faster he looks at the Carrier Dome clips...his punt return at the 1:40 mark is crazy..then later on, he reverses field twice and scores. This is one of the more impressive highlight tapes I have seen, of course dont know the level of competition. Reminds me of Brandon Wegher's highlight tape

He doesn't get touched very much....fwiw. Looks like some good blocking also. Not a knock on the kid, we'll see what he can do!

Could anyone else see McCall, Bullock or Canzeri playing with Coker and Coe to make a three headed monster at running back like Wisconsin did this year with Clay, Ball and White? And before I get flamed, I know that Johnson is also very much in the mix but I just listed the incoming commits.

Also if you watch his defense highlights, I think we should send a scholarship to the ref that is running with him on the play where he gets an interception and takes it 100 yards. That ref keeps up with him better than the players on the other team.

I think you got the number wrong on the Collins video, Jon. The guy making all the tackles is #57 if my eyes do not deceive me (the video quality isn't the best), and I believe since it's his own highlight video he's probably not featuring some other guy :)

One of these last four, or so, commits will end up surpassing a 4 or 5 star kid, if the past is any predictor of what will happen in IA f-ball. I was really impressed with Collins' vids, too, and Army's interest suggests good character. All these guys have a great opportunity. It is really interesting for me to watch how these student-athletes develop.

I can see Canzeri as a kick return specialist only. Which we need badly. Coker, Coe and McCall fill out our backfield needs quite nicely. Canzeri will not break into that group. Bullard however will be an interesting addition to the RB mix.

Collins will be solid wherever he lines up at. As stated earlier, you have to like the character aspects of him without ever seeing him play. I see him being an addition at corner or safety, not LB. He's pretty quick for his size. Sash part 2?

Overall this is shaping up to be an A- rated class for the Hawks. Pretty darn good. It seems to have filled most of the voids we have, with the exception of D Line, but we'll see if Cooper comes around. Only the addition of CyKo could have made this class grade out any higher. And that wasn't ever going to happen.
