Monty going Pro for clowns

Butler...4th round
Montgomery....maybe third round
Butler will look good at the combine in shorts and those tight shirts to those scouts. Wouldn't surprise me if a Gm fell in love with him before the 4th round.
Montgomery I have no idea how he'll do in shorts but his production and what he put on tape will impress. 3rd round sounds about right for him I'd guess too

They may have talent coming in, but Montgomery can't be replaced right out of the gate.
Ross from Clemson had 1000 yards and 9 TDs as a true freshman, so if Iowa State is luring 5 stars away from Alabama, Georgia and Clemson, it is possible to replace Montgomery with a freshman.

Wow! Montgomery was a threat anytime he was on the field. One less problem for us in September! Because they are not going to be able to replace him.
Really? They have 2 four star backs coming in. Brock, who we let go to take Sargent, and Hall who just played in the AA game. These 2 guys are both good. We are the ones hurting at rb, unless Goodson is as advertised.

Iowa is bringing in a better class, but campbell has closed the gap. Several of his signees held Iowa offers. Hawkeye fans are getting an unintentional benefit. As campbell brings in better classes Kirk is forced to up his game. And to his credit he has.
For all those who have wished (like me) over the years that the ISU game could stop being a lose/lose proposition . . . well if campbell continues to make them respectable, a win finally looks good on our resume.

Montgomery was probably the best back Iowa faced last year. It's doubtful that a kid who is in high school as we speak is going to walk on campus and fill Montgomery's shoes.

Iowa isn't hurting at RB. The offensive line isn't getting it done. Iowa has 2 capable running backs. Trouble is we were spoiled with Akrum Wadley and neither of these guys are Wadley. And the offensive line needs work.

A) They need a line to run behind, which ISU does not have. With even an average OL, Montgomery hits 1500 yds, but instead they barely get him 1000.

B) You're high if you think either Breece or Hall are even half the RB Montgomery is this early in their careers.

Well as we know over on the Cy fan site they are probably predicting a national championship for Iowa State with not just one 4 star but two high caliber players!

Not gonna lie, I kinda wanted Hall, but I honestly don't think we're getting the raw end of the deal by passing on Brock. While he's a solid back, he doesn't really excel at anything, and I'm not sure he's got that "it" factor or playmaking ability of a 4-star back.

Goodson, on the other hand, reminds me of Wadley in that he could break a huge play at any moment, and we should have the line play in place to take advantage of that by the time it's his turn to get the bulk of the carries.

Goodson isn't that far behind Hall in 247's composite rankings, like 88 to 87. Brock looks good but he's not going to be as good as Montgomery day one even though Cyclone fans on CF clearly think he will.

You already replied to Caddy, no need to say his name.
