An article in the Daily Iowan today says Montel has been legally cleared of all charges in his case involving: Former Iowa wrestler Montell Marion, who was charged with domestic assault in August, has been cleared.
Marion told The Daily Iowan that the “incident was completely fabricated” by the female involved, who claimed that Marion had picked her up and slammed her into the fireplace in his home, as reported by the DI on Aug. 30.
The charges were dropped on Oct. 12, but Marion said he still fears his reputation has been permanently damaged, especially after running into legal trouble in the past during his tenure as a Hawkeye.
And I realize Marion has had several other charges brought against him by law enforcement. And I think it was an accumulation of legal problems that finally resulted in Brands' dismissing him from the team. Just wondering if he has eligability left if he was reinstated?

No Montell used the last of his eligability last year placing 2nd at the NCAA's.
Montell was a 2-time NCAA finalist and 3-time AA while at Iowa. Says he is still planning where he will train for Rio 2016. Sounded like he plans to enter Midlands this year. Helpin out a little bit at Grandview now.
