Momentum, the play that changed it all

a huge penalty like that equals a turnover...which i believe gives us 3. to their one. thats always going to be the difference in a match up like that.

Rose bowl.
California
Stanford
Great year win or lose.
Fond memories
MSU was tough - like us.
CJB - awesome all around
Coaches excellent teachers.

can't argue with this point but I sulked for less than a day until it was confirmed that Iowa was in the rose bowl. How can anybody be upset at that?

agree - it was a huge play - it did switch the momentum - i didn't think it was the right time for us - we had the mo at the time - and boom - that play really was bad for iowa.

At this point the Hawks can finish in the top 5 or possibly even top 3 in the final poll. That's what I'm focused on at this point.

In my weakest moment I would have never thought this was possible in 2015/16.

Maybe it's just because I'm the OP that I feel like I have to defend myself but I want to just make it clear that I wasn't even complaining about the officials call just merely stating I thought it was the biggest play of the game.

There was no doubt contact... the only thing one could maybe argue was that it could have been the 5 yard penalty of running into rather than the 15 yard of roughing the kicker. With that said, I think it was 4th and 5 so who knows what happens from there even it's just the 5 yard penalty.

Anyways... back to my original point was simply that it took an opportunity for us to really take all momentum/control of the game.
