MN Game

Anyone watching? Surprised 3-3 late in 2nd. MN Defense seems pretty good with good skill position players. Need a qb. The RB would be a nice compliment to Iowa's running game.

Can't imagine anyone paying attention to Maryland/BC.

Kind of wish Iowa was in the Holiday Bowl. I'm thinking Florida doesn't really want to be there and are a lot like Iowa if Iowa hadn't turned things up late.

6-3 at the half. The goofers are behind. I'm kind of surprised it's this close. Thought for sure the goofers would get steam rolled.

Minnesota has a lot of talent on that team. Iowa played one of their best defensive games to beat them

I guess I have a lot more respect for what Iowa did. I thought the MN/PSU game was 2 not very good teams at the time. I think I may have been wrong. I'm watching a team that easily could have challenged in the west....had Wisky in trouble and maybe could have beaten Iowa and Nebby.

Agree. The Minnesota win (on the road) was big for Iowa. We tend to talk about the losses and forget about the wins.

Never been a fan of the 3 man rush all game long with no deception - but they are getting pressure enough to force early throws into coverage

The starting center is out. First time starter at center. For a while I didn't think either team would score a td. Minnesota defense is playing well and/or Washington State does not appear to have much offense.

I am certainly no fan of the goofers, but they are playing solid football. I was in MN fot the Iowa game and it was a slobber knocker. They are well coached, have average players. They got screwed on a couple of calls in the first half, or they could be a bit further ahead. The announcers are getting tough to listen to with their bias toward WSU. MN is much more physical than Wash and have good speed on D. MN = better team. Go Big Ten.

I just know what I'm seeing. WSU has decent speed and MN seems to be a decent match. No doubt Iowa played well late, but just saying the PSU/MN game and the Iowa game maybe wasn't a fluke....Maybe. Not going by the score as much as line play and match ups. It's not like WSU is just shooting themselves in the foot and maybe got a break on the deep pass near the goal line setting up the field goal. I'm not used to seeing this out of Goofs. I used to live in Gooferland....

Yeah, Tracy Claeys is building them into one of the premier programs in the country, too bad the fan base might be crazy enough to fire him over a simple misunderstanding. I guess it would be good for Iowa if he left the division for another school.

I only wanted Iowa in the Holiday so I could make a 90 min drive to watch. Not because I thought WST was a cake walk. Pretty sure if Iowa's Dline shows up like Minny's did - they will pummel the Gators.
