Mixed Impression of New Video Boards

With how much we pay for our tickets and the idiot tax that goes with the mandatory per seat donation I wish the advertising feces could be decreased by at least 15%. There are at least a half dozen advertisements up on the board at any given time. Use the screen to show the team...let people be blown away by it...I went to see the Redskins and Eagles play at Fed-Ex Field last year, and they have a screen like ours...AMAZING! And it was not covered with 80% advertisements.

The new video boards were a MAJOR upgrade to what they had. The 2 video screens are ribbon boards are night and day better, and the video quality is a huge upgrade on the North end.

I don't care who's paying for the ad.. those ribbon boards should never be solid red in color. No red allowed

I hate nebby. I don't own nor will I buy a red shirt. Lord please let a miracle happen and beat them this year.

New stuff always seems to have glitches. Is it really that hard to understand? Even stuff you think you have ironed out before hand can f up. chill out dude.

The boards are nice, but everyone should have known they are going to be used for ads, the plus side to those ads though is that all of the money is going towards coaches buy out at the end of the year.

They can delete the dancing helmets as well. For one, the NIU helmet always knocked the Iowa helmet backward. For two, it was generally annoying to look at. Millions of dollars for a crappy screensaver?

Looks like the video board operators must've read this thread. They now have the Hawkeye helmet beating the crap out of the opposing helmet. And I mean a fo realz beatdoooown!!
