Three people accused of stealing baseball equipment from University of Iowa

Three Minnesota men were arrested over the weekend after University of Iowa police say they stole equipment from the Jacobson Athletic Building on the University of Iowa campus.

It still dumbfounds me how no one stopped the fans from doing this. I know the Goofers program was a joke back then, but could they only afford to hire an off duty Barney Fife for security for their home games? Didn't the Vikings require some competent security?

It was likely college age and mid 50s, overweight rent-a-cops plus maybe 2-3 actual police officers. At the level of staffing the only way you're gonna stop the horde is with gun fire and I doubt they thought it was worth it. Only so many tasers to go around.

Georgia rushed Auburn’s field in the 80s I remember for some reason. Auburn was pissed and turned the sprinklers on to get them off it. UGA students/fans ripped up their field pretty bad.
