Minnesota vs illinois

Most of Minnesota's good players are out period. They barely have enough to field a roster. It would be a shock to see them in the quarterfinals.
 
Three of those players recently got suspended for some sex video posted for a bit on the one players social media site. They all start or contribute. The player that the video was on his site was the leading scorer. They literally have no scholarship guards left to play to my understanding. I think Pitino is willing to pack it in for the year.
 
Heard it was their worst record in 88 yrs. Wow. I thought they had some good young talent. Does RP survive?
 
Joey King had a rough senior year....I gotta feel for the guy. I used to play bball against him occasionally at the local gym, hell of a shooter. Not only did Minnesota do really bad this year, he broke his foot to end his career.

I think the line is way too low. Didnt the gophers just lose to rutgers by 20?
 
Yeah, what I don't like is this game gives Illinois a nice easy warmup game to get use to playing in the arena and tournament.

Wish they would have had to work a LITTLE bit for the victory.

This scares me a bit headed for tomorrow's game. That along with Iowa's dismal zone defense lately. Iowa plays zone like they have, Illinois will shoot lights out from 3 and outcome won't be good. Illinois is a team full of shooters and players even though only 14-18. This would be a bad loss but not surprising given how Iowa usually does in the BTT.

Easy or not they still played today and got another game tomorrow. No telling how the team will react. Playing Back to back days is never easy.

Yeah Illinois got to warmup against a Park and Rec team before playing Iowa....meanwhile Fran has had basically zero success in the BTT. Its cause for concern.

On the flipside, Illinois has John Groce, and he is terrible.
 
My hope is that JU now realizes that for Iowa to be successful, he has to get his. If so, then Iowa rolls the annoying orange. If not,.........................
