Minnesota Tailgating

I'm meeting a group of hawk fans for the Minn. game. They're saying they want to go to a bar instead of tailgating cause no one tailgates at the fairgrounds in lot S108. Is this true because as far as I can tell from the map, lot S108 is the only place for single game attendees to tailgate unless they have a season parking pass. They also tried to say that it's $40 to park in lot S108. As far as I could find, it's $40 for a charter bus and $10 for everyone else. Can someone help me out as this is my first trip to Minn for a game. Thanks.

bars down near the stadium is the best bet!! Sally's is a fun place! good food, drinks and tvs!!
