With all the gloom and doom on this board im interested to hear your predictions

I refuse to predict Minnesota will score until they prove that they actually can

Iowa 31
Minnesota 0

I admire your confidence, bus.
I'll amp up my prior prediction and say, Hawks 27 - goophs 13.

Minnesota comes into the game ranked 101st in points allowed and 33.8 per game and 408.2 yards of total offense, they also give up 200 yards rushing per game. Their lone big ten win comes off Illinois after their track meet with Michigan, winning on a late 4th quarter TD drive.

Iowa is coming off 3 straight weeks of less then perfect play including giving up leads against Northwestern and OSU. Iowa has not been a good 4th quarter team this year and has suffered losses as a result.

Iowa should blow this one out no question, It's more of a question will the coaches not hold back and take shots and blow goldy out like we should.

All things considered I think minnesota is just what the doctor ordered for the hawks and we roll 43-3.

*Contingency pick should we show up flat 21-17 Minn.

Score by quarters 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
Minnesota 41 64 44 102 251
Opponents 91 99 75 107 372

Goldy starts very very slowly on both offense and defense, If we can come out with some fire we can blow it open early.

Minn allows an average of 5.4 yards per rush, everything considered coker should have an excellent game given his performances against Indiana and OSU where he averaged 7.8 YPC.

Minn does however average 230 yards per game in the passing game, if they can get it going ala Northwestern/OSU our secondary will be in for a long game. Webber is no persa and he has had poor performances against the hawks in both 2008 and 2009 going 14-40 for 153 yards no Tds no INT in 2009 and 14/28 and 127 yards and 2 ints in 2008. Minnisota has averaged just 19 first downs in those 2 years combined.

Just some stats for thought.

17-14 Iowa. We play lethargic and conservative yet again. We will scrape this one out by the skin of our teeth.

Only stat needed is that Minnesota blows. They are ranked 7th in the nation at being terrible

35-10 Hawks,
but the question is, will we christen Kinnick North by taking the goal posts as a souvineir

Iowa has had 6 turnovers all season, I predict they will have 4 today. Minnesota has had a week off to get healed up. Iowa 17-Minnesota 16.
I hope I'm wrong and Iowa wins by 30 but.

Just about ready to take off from Des Moines to Minneapolis. I think Floyd is coming back to Iowa again this year.

Iowa 31
Minny 10
