Minnesota chokes...again

I've been watching Big Ten football for ...well...a number of years. No team knows how to choke away the end of a game like Minnesota.

1st and goal from the 1/2 yard line...19 seconds to go. And they let the clock run down to :06 before they snap the ball. Then with :02 left try and QB sneak it rather than take the tying field goal.

Unbelievable.

That QB on the last play seemed pretty tall. I was thinking he was going to try and jump and stick the ball over the goal line.

Nebraska is giving them a run for their money this year.

But yeah, Jerry Kill was gnashing his teeth (no pun intended) over that one.

How bout that clock management by the Goofers....
The interim coach was calling that game for his career. Get it, hero. Dont get it, goat. Baaaaaad call.
Get the FG, go to OT. Starting Blue QB out of the game. I like my chances in O.T. Didnt know who to cheer for. Love to see Minny with another conference loss but I hate Harbaugh.

I don't think they realized that the clock would start after the review.

Yep, you have to be ready to run a tailback I formation blast play when the clock is restarted. From the half yardline, call a qb sneak or the tailback straight ahead. If you dont get in you call a time out with about 10-12 seconds left and you can still throw it twice into the endzone and then do what you want on 4th down.

That was so bad. They just let the clock wind down while doing some weird formation shift thing. It was so terrible.

I have seen a lot of bad clock management in college football but that was some of the worst by Minny.

th

Minny Mouse Clock Management.

The clock management deal was the same thing as the Cap 1 Bowl pretty much. The clock started and no one knew. I loved going for the win though. The odds of getting in from the half yard line have to be better than the odds of winning in overtime.

People act like the coach took away their chance to win. They had their chance to win, they just didn't capitalize.

I don't think the coach(es) knew the clock was going to start as soon as ball put in play. Otherwise, they wouldn't have run that play. No chance in hell.
