KF has surely heard about the stat saying Iowa is the only team out of 124 not to give its backup a snap. So I say KF tells JVB to "accidentally" lose his helmet on one play this game, so that Rudock comes in for one snap (we hand off to Weisman). Then he goes back to the sidelines.

And just like that, Iowa has played it's backup QB! Simple but brilliant plan by the captain.

and doing it at NW would be smart because the Boos when JVB came back in would hardly be noticed in that empty stadium.

Goddammit! I just heard from my sources deep inside the bowels of Kinnick that Brain Ferentz has already read the OP and has told his pa... They are in the process of Guerrilla Glue-ing the inside of JVB's helmet. Once the helmet is glued to JVB's head, they will weld the chin strap to the helmet. Thanks OP now we will never see JR.
