Miller's replacement

It appears we are deeper at corner than we are at safety to me...that's why they are looking at Lomax moving to safety...plus he's physical and has some size already. I know you have D. King and Draper who have played, but I've heard there are a few young guys that have practiced very well...Mabin and Rucker have been mentioned. I like where this is going. It already sounds like Law is going to have a ton of competition.

Do the Bears draft him to replace Conte?

I'd draft him, but only to help Conte pick up his jock...they both have alot of experience there. Actually Miller has played pretty well since the Ohio State game. He probably got tired of having to put it back on so many times during the game. That's embarrassing.

i had the privilege of sitting 40 yrd line 3rd row visitors side for the Iowa osu game this year... after osu scored the go ahead touchdown Parker ripped both the safeties new ones. in their face screaming at em called em f***ing quitters about 20-30 times. Went on for a minute or two, about halfway through his tirade i noticed that kf had noticed although he was talking to some of the o coaches, but as soon as Phil was done and walked away, in comes kf doing his atta boy hand clap lets go routine to try and get them back up and into the game.

Do you remember the how Draper embarrassed himself during the MSU game? I'm not sure having him back is a good thing!

He would have bated Rodgers into throwing the game ending INT. Fact.

Disagree. He would have baited Rodgers into a throw into coverage but he would have been smart enough to bat the ball down on fourth down to give the offense better field position. Dude wouldn't be out there trying to pad his own stats like most of these hot dogs in the NFL today. He'd just be concerned about getting out with a W.

I dont know how good this kid is suppose to be. I hope great but that was really bad. Didnt seem to have any idea what he was suppose to do

I was thinking he would catch it and fall to the ground, but I could see him batting it down. Either way, he would have Rodgers waking up in a cold sweat every night wondering how he can ever win the division again with Miller at Safety.

Draper got a similar dressing down from Parker after getting torched in the MSU game. I think the kid had to take his helmet off because his ears were burning so much. Listening to Parker in interviews, "fun" is not a word that comes to mind. But, he seems to be getting the most out of his players.

Well, most of our top corners end up playing safety in the NFL anyway. Might as well move them there early.

Didn't work out well when we put Hyde at safety against ISU. I think that had more to do with the guy at corner than the guy playing safety though.

Who are the Iowa corners who were immediately turned into safetys in the NFL?

Godfrey, Fletcher, Hyde, Prater, Spievey.....which ones ? Maybe Spievey.

Sorry, but Tanner is a slower Conte....no. I do hope the Bears pick Lowrey in round 5 or 6.

Blasphemy!

I would like to see Tanner Miller in a Bears uniform next year. They could have used him Sunday. I am tired of Iowa guys playing for all the other NFC North team but not the Bears. Has there been any since Mark Bortz to play regular season games?

I agree that this ridiculous Bears boycott of Hawkeyes must end. Should have drafted Hyde last year, and picked up Henderson the year before...both would have helped the Bears beat the Packers last weekend.
