Jon, I got to agree with you. Anyone thats been to say MN in late Nov, compared to even IA City, knows how much of a weather diff there is. The idea here is to build on the having a champ game and prepare the teams for the bowls, tell me how playing in snow and wind and wind chill prepares them for going south and west.

Playing a game inside on Dec 5th will prepare the teams to play in Pasadena more than a month later? Not buying that one.

Rotate it between HoosierDome and Soldier Field. Same with the BB tourny.

Learn from more of the mistakes of the Big 12. The last CCG held in Kansas City was brutal, cold, windy, and I think there was precip also. It was a nasty game, the fans that went were miserable, and I think that the game was not even close to full capacity.

It's much better to be able to control the environment, so that the weather doesn't play a part in the outcome.

I would hate to see the BB tourney being played at Soldier Field. Also, the turf sucks there so I don't want the football game being played there either.

Playing at the Hoosier Dome would be rather difficult considering it was demolished over 2 years ago.

Indy dome. I don't want more B10 bashing when Soldier Field looks like a dump and it rains. Or something like that.

Stay away from Soldier Field. The whole place is a dump, not just the turf. I love Chicago as a location, but the stadium is horrible!

Good grief OK4P. U hijack this thread with a tinfoil hat article that I can barely resist

Sorry, JD. I was just pointing out that global warming is coming, it's real, and when it comes in a couple of years, Chicago will have the same weather as Baton Rouge per Chicago's city planners and the New York Times, and when that happens, you'll be sorry that you ever advocated for the title game to be held in Indy bince Chicago is so much better.

You'll be out in front of your house, loading up the family truckster, wearing shorts and your Hawaiian shirt on December 3rd, Ma's gonna be all like "Why do we have to go to Indianapolis for a football game?" The nagging will really begin when you hit Chambana on I-74 and Ma realizes you would already be there if you were going to Chicago, but you've got a few more hours ahead with the kids fighting in the back of the truckster. Then, the nagging will be ridiculous when Ma realizes that Indy is basically just a slightly bigger version of Neck Moines and she'll say "I could have done all this Christmas shopping at Jordan Crick, this mall sucks." Had you manned up and picked Chicago from the get go and made a compelling case for the other members of the media elite to do the same, that problem wouldn't happen. It will be your own fault. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I vote Indy.
However, if Chicago didn't screw up the Soldier Field renovations and actually had decent turf, this wouldn't even be a question.

Stay in a domed stadium. Indy & Detroit. Consider Minny when they get their new domed stadium built. Rotate between domes which are located within Big X territory. This should be a no brainer.

Agreed, and I still to this day don't know why the Bears don't tell the City of Chicago and the Parks Department to get their act together, that field is a total joke.

Football will be in Indy.
BBall will go back to Chicago.

I don't want 'em moved around either.
Keep it that way for a decade & re-evaluate at that point.

Agreed - go with Indy for football, then give Chicago something with basketball.

Indy has a first class stadium to watch football.
