Miller: Coe One of Ferentz Most Significant Commits?

I feel like I'm watching a different video than some of you...

He runs a little upright, which is very fixable. But outside of that, thats a very impressive looking RB.

Some of you are obsessed with stats, likely the same ones who were obsessed with French's stats.

Could he play defense? Sure, but I have no reason to believe he wont be playing RB considering our depth chart and his desire to play the position.

I think that Coe ends up sticking at RB at Iowa ... however, I'm not going to heap undue expectations on the young man either.

Shonn Greene, as a RS JR in '08 was a MUCH better player than he was as a TR FR in '05.

And, just as you indicated ... Greene too ran "too upright" when he first hit campus.

Kind of like Coker right now. Guys with that level of talent (Coker, Coe, Greene) REALLY take off when they get their pad level lower.

I think Coe's chances at RB hinge on one really important thing, whether ARob gets his **** in gear and rejoins the team or not. If he doesn't that leaves us with a dire shortage in the RB position with just Coker, Johnson, and an incoming Coe. If Arob returns, Coe's opportunities to move around are much better.

Is anyone worried about academics? Not sure if this is accurate, but rivals has his HS GPA at 2.5. This is worrisome to me as I d*cked off (skipped school, never studied, etc) enormously in high school and still pulled over a 3.0. Thoughts?

Just means he either has to work harder at it than you or needs to learn how to study... it's not as easy for everyone.

Come on, you are putting words in my posts that aren't there. Never said I wasn't impressed, I disagreed with the extent to which Jon touted the kid. I read the national boards and subscribe to a newsletter or two and if you read these things you see that there are some divergent opinions on Coe.
Specific sources please. I would like to read these divergent opinions. Especially the reference to playing like jane. I am sure you are not afraid to back yourself up with some places I can verify this "divergency" of opinions.
