"Nebraska coach Scott Frost said Thursday that potential tampering by Oregon State led the Cornhuskers to list the Pac-12 school among institutions not permitted to contact running back Greg Bell about a potential transfer."

"Three Nebraska players recently transferred to OSU, including former four-star prospects Tristan Gebbia, a quarterback, and receiver Tyjon Lindsey. Both players were recruited to Nebraska by former coach Mike Riley, who now works as an analyst at Oregon State under Jonathan Smith."

It seems only fair that kids recruited by a coach who picked a school based on coach would be free to follow their fired coach. The Hawks got Basabee that way when Fran was hired at Iowa.

It's funny that these kids are choosing Oregon State over Nebraska but kind of a dbag move by Scott Frost. I think Greg Bell was recruited by Scott Frost and had nothing to do with Mike Riley. If he ended up at Oregon State that would be surprising. The others were recruited to play under Mike Riley. In the case of Gebbia he's a prostyle QB and not a good fit in Frost's system.

My god...they obviously gave you a shot Scott...and decided after a camp or four games...to go somewhere else. The QB I get...he's not going to unseat Martinez. Martinez is the real deal. He's going to be a nightmare if Frost can build a team around him. Objectively...their offense isn't too bad at this point with Martinez running the show.

Frost is coming off as a douche. Really...now you are pointing the finger at Mike Riley. You can't keep a player over Oregon State...a team that had 77 points scored on them this year. You still holding out for the B10 championship game Scott.

It will be interesting to see how they fare against NW.

Let's see - Scott Frost can leave UCF whenever he wants to go wherever he wants, but he gets to keep his thumb on a kid from going where he wants to go. Nice.

"I also told them if anybody doesn't want to stay on board with this ride with us, let me know now and get off." Scott Frost said after their loss to Troy. I suppose he meant to footnote that by saying, "as long as you only get off at stations where I say you can get off."

Not on;y that, he poached a kid from UCF, as well.

In the end that kid will transfer where he wants to. The AD will step in at some point, Frost will cool down more and let him go.

I was going to ask if he had and if he hadn't why wouldn't he? UCF clearly has better talent than Nebby does. He should have been trying to bring as many of those kids as possible up. They must like living and going to school in Orlando more than Lincoln Ne... Imagine that..

Frost ain't used to losing. Its awesome.

right? When has he ever faced adversity? Ever in his life? In college? As a coach? What did he build exactly at UCF? That's a program that has more double digit win seasons in the last 20 years than Iowa. 2 years before he got there they were in the Fiesta Bowl? Dudes FAR over his head. Not saying he's not a decent coach, but he's got a lot of work ahead of him.

EVERYONE over here is picking Nubby on Saturday.

Campus-wise, UCF is still a quasi-commuter school. Area-wise, Orlando, hands-down. Climate-wise? Gotta go with Lincoln. Overall? Well, it IS Lincoln, so...ANYplace else.

Lincoln's a truck stop - Frost is a rookie coach who took UCF to heights they were accustomed to - If they are good again, it's gonna take 3-4 seasons if it's even possible. Look at UCF this season? It's a stepping stone job that coaches can get fat on and land a better gig.

Can't understand, for the life of me, why he is whining about wanting to keep RILEY'S recruits. Isn't that his excuse why they suck---needs time to get HIS guys in. He should be doing cartwheels to get rid of ANY Riley players that want to leave
