Malloy had a major ankle surgery last I heard. He had posted a picture of it on his facebook page. He was one of the surprising players of the spring and had a good spring game. Ferentz had said before that Malloy is on the team but not with the team. What ever that means.

But having ankle surgery and not being on the team don't seem to go hand in hand. I don't think KF would kick a player off the team because he needed surgery. Too bad, I was hoping the preseason hype would pan out for this kid.
