I am personally no fan of Gary Dolphin. Growing up watching Iowa sports, he's never been my flavor.
When he retires or is let go for honest reasons, I won't shed any tears.
But this athletic department, including the university president, is shameful for playing games with legitimate issues of racism in our society to provide cover for getting rid of a employee they don't seem to like. While also being willing to slander that employee with something as stigmatizing as being considered a racist.
Feels like there is truly something rotten here.
