MIke Daniels penalty question

In the third quarter on the Minnesota punt that Daniels didn't make it off the field in time could the staff have called time out? or didn't it matter as it was considered breaking the huddle with 12 men?

Yes, it was a dumb penalty... yes, we should have taken a TO.

We were outcoached on that play. Minny's coaches rushed their punt team onto the field to catch us in this situation. They saw something in our films (much as Bielema saw flaws in our punt coverage team).

IIRC, Minny did this when the ball was spotted on the hash closest to their sideline, so it took a few extra ticks to get our units changed. Give Minny credit, they found a few holes, and took advantage of them.

Too many situations caught us off guard this season. When you lose five games by a total of 18 points...these plays really stand out as we look back on things that went wrong.

I'm not one to trash the coaches, but with an experienced staff, we were caught in situations that are inexcusable.

Again, the issue comes on ST where we have coaches stretched thin because KF went through the season WO a DC. Need to get this resolved by the bowl game. If I was a recruit's parent, it would be my primary concern.
