Michigan Road Trip

We are thinking about heading to Ann Arbor.
Anybody have pointers on where to stay?

There is not likely to be much available near the U of M. The last time we were up there I think we stayed at a Red Roof Inn on State Street. It served its purpose as a bed, but not great. A good place to tailgate is the high school on the southwest corner of the stadium. Really close parking and there were plenty of decent fans there.

We went there last time Iowa played up there and had a great time. We stayed at some dive hotel that was a bed to drink off the night before. My advise is to not spend a lot of hotel unless you truly plan on being there a lot. As far as tailgating, the high school is great and so is the golf course right across from the stadium. The Big House is one of the quietest stadiums I have been too because of how removed you are from the field with all those seats and fans.........
