Michigan players transferring....smotrcyz(sp?) one of them

Just thought it was interesting. Evan is a very solid player. Good heighth with a decent perimeter game. Able to cause match up problems.

Honest question...how does ISU have any room for a transfer? It was my understanding that they had 13 players on scholarship for next season, and White leaving puts them where they need to be. Where is the scholarship coming from? Or am I off on my numbers?

There will be a couple of bench guys transferring out.

I had heard Sledge was rumored to be leaving, but has that been confirmed? Who else would transfer? Railey?

That's the rumor. Neither has been confirmed, but there's too much smoke around it and it just makes sense for all parties.

Agreed. I can't see either of them getting any PT next season outside of mop-up time.

Edit: Of course, if you bring in 2 transfers it then relegates 2 existing players/incoming freshmen to the bench, and then you could have the same problem next season with a couple of guys leaving.

Not necessarily because next season we'll lose: Babb, McGee, Clyburn, Lucious, Booker and (possibly a transfer).

So 2013 will offer A LOT of playing time. It's not as if we have any guys coming in that are sure fire, 1-and-done type players that are expecting to be the go-to guy from day 1. Most FR can handle somewhat limited playing time their FR year if the line up is wide open the following year.

Not to mention, with an actual PG, we'll run a much faster tempo offense, and we'll need more rotation as a result.

I thought Sledge was a can't miss scoring machine.

That's the problem with Sledge, is that he takes it to the rack every time he touches the ball. Hoiberg wants him to run the O and distribute.

Also, he is an NYC guy, and the rumor from day-1 is that he wasn't happy in Ames.
