Michigan: Help Wanted at DB

Rich Rodriguez was quoted as saying, "DAMMIT! If this was WVU, I could've gotten him in, EASY! I mean...uh...I...anyone want chips???"

If you're counting on incoming freshmen to step in and immediately contribute, I think you're troubles are fairly obvious and potentially deeper than you'd want to admit. And yes, I think DickRod would've gotten him in at WVU - I'm almost certain Noel Devine couldn't get into any FL schools b/c of past transgressions, but somehow found his way into WVU.

It looks like they're not going to get their prize DB recruit admitted from the 2010 recruiting class. Ahhh shucks!

Demar Dorsey not admitted to Michigan, released from letter of intent - ESPN

That will be a blow to their secondary. Especially considering that they are going to be depending on some freshman to help power their secondary in 2010.

That's okay...he'll just end up at Wisconsin...isn't that where all athletes go once they're let out of their LOI's??

So if he goes to another D1FBS school for 2010-2011 will he be considered a transfer like Randy Moss was at Florida State and have to sit out his freshman year? I think the biggest problem with Rich Rodriguez is that he doesn't fit the culture of UM. Dorsey definitely gets admitted at WVU, as do a lot of guys that UM probably doesn't take. It must be really hard for Rodriguez to adjust his targets and still find top talent.
