Micha Hyde Draft Stock Plummeting

Hyde will go first round, best punt returner in the country.

So he's like Spievey, but he's not? Which is it? Spievey was much better than Hyde.

Similar: Size, ball skills, top-end speed, lack of hip fluidity to turn and run with upper tier NFL WRs
Differences: Spievey was a more physical player and showed excellent functional playing strength.

Spievey went at the top of the 3rd round and has been a starter at FS when healthy up in Detroit. I don't see Hyde as a starter early on as Spievey was, if ever. Hyde is a solid depth type who can contribute on special teams. I saw Spievey as a late 2nd round value and Hyde feels more like a mid(3rd-4th-5th) round value to me at this point.

Those mock draft predictions change with the wind and weather between now and next April.

If the behavior had truly been a problem, Hyde would be suspended for at least one game and maybe more. As Kirk said in presser, this is guy who has had NO problems off field in 3 and half years until last weekend. Also seems to be more to story althought that may never be made public.

Hyde will play in NFL. Whether CB or Safety remains to be seen.

Well as a Rams fan I can tell you that the way you make him sound is not a proper representation of how Rams fans view him. He has started every year except this year and the only reason he didn't start this year is because he wasn't 100%. And that "backup" corner sealed the game with an interception at the end of the game last Thursday.

I think you misread my post. I wasn't saying he wasn't a good player (and I am well aware of his int this past week) just responding to your post that mentioned he wasn't playing safety.

Nothing more, nothing less.

It definitely doesn't read that way. Calling him a backup and leaving it at that is not a fair representation of what Fletcher has done since getting drafted. He's been a pretty solid corner for St. Louis, and as mentioned, isn't starting because he's been banged up.

You did call him a backup.

His NFL.com page says he has played in 32 NFL games, and started 24.

You're funny. He gets burned every other play and is ALWAYS out of position.
