MEMO TO BARTA - LET THE STUDENTS IN FOR FREE NEXT SATURDAY

The university is right in a sense. If you give something a perceived value, it carries more merrit. Let them pay $5 or $10 and have it go to some charity. Students are very big in wanting to raise money for good causes for fun events. Some group should approach Barta and put something together. They can fill CHA and have some giveaways (pizza) again, create a win-win situation, without cheapening the presented product.

But do find a way to fill the seats.

Please quit the stupid a$$ references to some dumb inside joke reference to some stupid bull pumfus!! You are either 7 years old, ********, or someone that has never come up with a single original thought in their whole life. Quit repeating stupid stuff about camels, mopeds, buffaloes, Ghosts, Duff-tard, ok4pres, etc! Get a freaking life!

In actuality, I think Ablue is the originator of the wild bull pumfus line.

What about the students that paid for their student season passes?

They still get into all the other events right (besides football)? The students that have passes are guaranteed a ticket into the game and/or get them closer to the floor (reserved seating). They do not have to run the risk of not being one of the first 750 students. There are ways of figuring this out.

This money cannot be making or breaking the athletic department. Producing a winning basketball program with an exciting atmosphere is what sells CHA out. Who are you making more money off of, the student with limited means paying $10 for a ticket (or whatever they sell for) or the guy/gal paying $25 per ticket and buying the $5 hot dogs, drinks, and popcorn?

Side note to students, but when they were putting the court storming on TV there was a huge white dude in the middle and I realized CJF was in there jumping around with all the other students. Loved it

If the Hawks win at ILL and at NEB, then I would hope any remaining tickets would be purchased as there may be a tournament berth on the line, and it will be Senior Day.

However, by next Thursday or Friday, any remaining tickets should be given to the students for free. Fill the place against NW and send out Gatens on a high note.

Next year, the athletic dept should get creative. Maybe they can find some sponsors or big donors to "cover" the price of student tickets for all Big Ten games to get kids in free. Students who purchase season tickets at normal prices should get priority for the seats on the floor, but the rest should be free. Starting the following year, hopefully the program will be back to a level where the student section is full of paying customers, but until then let's just fill the place.
