Melvin Gordon for 408 yds and 4 TDs

So True--I remember when Greene went for 100+ in his first PT at Iowa--Then we saw him dominate 3 years later--. Gordon would have rode the pine, and have had a monster Junior year followed by a less than inspiring senior campain, and F-U to all the thumbs down drive byes--dumbest feature on site, allows people with little man syndrome to be internet tuff guys.

Sad, but he may have rode the pine behind Weismann.

Hawks hold him under 200 they have a real shot.....

Huh????

You must not have seen him play. He's fast, but can still accelerate into yet another gear that most RB's don't have. He's shifty, too.

We'll see how "not good" he is next week.

IIRC, he withdrew his commitment to Iowa after witnessing a fight between Iowa players in the locker room after the Ohio State loss in 2010.

Also, I highly doubt that he would have been nearly as productive as a running back at Iowa because of the inconsistencies on offense.

No he didn't withdraw his commitment to Iowa after witnessing fight between Iowa players after 2010 Ohio State game. He has said this publicly and John Miller has also addressed this topic. He's from Wisconsin and decided to stay home. No fault of KF's.

Apparently you have forgotten that Greene had academic issues and had to go to JUCO to regain eligibility. Obviously your hatred of KF has clouded you memory.

Clearly your love fest with KF has clouded yours. KF tried to switch him to defense his Sophomore year. Of course Grades will slip when you are being told you aren't good enough for a position. I would say he may be the best RB since before Freddy Russell and Kirk was trying to get him to switch.

The thing is he still isn't that good. Its just a system with a big offensive line. The lack of defense has a big influence on this too. The B1G has lost a lot of prestige over the years, its like the old WAC conference where some quarterback could thrown 50 touchdowns and the rest of the country just yawns.

Come on, man. Gordon is the real deal.

He decided to stay home after watching Iowa stink it up that year with a boat load of talent. Fault lies with the coach more than anything.

If Iowa doesn't fall on their face that year and gets to another BCS bowl like they should have things would be very different now. Gordon is probably a hawk, our overall talent and w/l record last 3 years is much better and people would still be ******** about KOK instead of GDGD.

Couple of things.
Doesn't really matter why Gordon switched to Connie.
KOK or GD.....doesn't matter. Both SUCK as offensive coordinators.
Oh and yes, 2010 was a missed opportunity to build some recruiting momentum.

You are crazy man if you cant see the great footwork he has, super at the quick plant and jump stop to make a cut, great speed.

The hawks will need to get off blocks, stay square, and tackle perfectly.

Listen the state of Iowa hasnt had a talent like that very often, Banks and Roger Craig is about it.

Nope didn't forget. I don't even hate KF what I am stating are just facts. Greene needed to see more to when he was younger, I even remember him getting dinged up against Indiana. Are you saying he only developed talent after one year off of FB, when Greene was a Frosh he wore 45, did you know that. I'm sorry if you disagree with the fact that KF does not play his best players, however I'm not assuming you love him. Are you also arguing that JC should play in front of AW. So tired of people saying if you point out weakness in KF that you hate him, i just want him to earn the money and make better decisions in. If you are happy with the product on the field I think that says more about you than me.

1. Game management
2. Personel decisions
3. Recruiting
4. How he engages fans, and deals with student athletes
5. Beating lesser opponents/ having team ready from 1st game of year

Well, when I read this article about Greene's 1st stint at Iowa (flunking out and gaining weight), I understand that he did get better after the year off of football. I would say he was more motivated.

It was THE opportunity to move the program to a new level.

Iowa hasn't been a program to take serious since then and likely won't be until a new coach takes over.

The guy is really good. He will be really good in the NFL next year too. He scares the hell out of me for next week. I hope we have six inches of snow on the ground next sat.
