at the end of the 3rd qtr, against the Cornhuskers! Former Iowa commit before he backed out and went to Wisky. How much different would our O-line look with Gordon running behind it?

Watching him go off today just stings knowing he could have been doing that in Black & Gold.

Had Gordon stayed with his Iowa commitment....

Wow.

How different might the last 4 years have looked for the Hawks?

The record is broken. MG is the man, but would have looked better in black and gold breaking it. Whisky exposes the Nebby DL. No depth, a bunch of sophmores and redshirt freshman. Took longer than I thought but this is good news for the Hawks. MG, on the other hand, not so much.

Illinois probably thought the same thing today against Iowa after watching the minnesota debacle. Honestly it's a good time to play wisconsin because they'll think they're better than they actually are next week where as nebraska is going to be looking to beat the feces out of whoever they play.

IIRC, he withdrew his commitment to Iowa after witnessing a fight between Iowa players in the locker room after the Ohio State loss in 2010.

Also, I highly doubt that he would have been nearly as productive as a running back at Iowa because of the inconsistencies on offense.

He, Beathard, Powell and Willies would be sitting next to each other on the bench wondering WTF?! :p

Let's be honest. He wouldn't have seen the field until this year per Kirk's philosophy.

So True--I remember when Greene went for 100+ in his first PT at Iowa--Then we saw him dominate 3 years later--. Gordon would have rode the pine, and have had a monster Junior year followed by a less than inspiring senior campain, and F-U to all the thumbs down drive byes--dumbest feature on site, allows people with little man syndrome to be internet tuff guys.

The thing is he still isn't that good. Its just a system with a big offensive line. The lack of defense has a big influence on this too. The B1G has lost a lot of prestige over the years, its like the old WAC conference where some quarterback could thrown 50 touchdowns and the rest of the country just yawns.

Did you see him hurdle that Nebby player, in full stride and not even slow down? That was an impressive display.

Huh????

You must not have seen him play. He's fast, but can still accelerate into yet another gear that most RB's don't have. He's shifty, too.

We'll see how "not good" he is next week.
