Mcnutt to Philly

A steal. I think McNutt will be an excellent #2 receiver for many years. He'll be a tough assignment as long as he has another legitimate reciever across from him.

No way maybe a 3 at best. You really think he is going to beat out Maclin? No chance he is going to have to wait for an injury in philly. Which will defiantly happen at some point those receivers cant seem to stay healthy.

I was thinking longterm. Not next year. No, he will not beat out Maclin.

He has a legit shot at being the slot or number 2 guy moving maclin inside to the slot..but I see the slot and the #3 position realistically. I am no way saying he will beat out Maclin for the two but could be used in that position. Last time I watched the eagles they didn't have any big receivers in the red zone and I think he has a shot to see the field next fall.

i dont think this is a good fit for mcnutt but hopefully he does well. i could see him be considered the #3 but when he is in he most likely wont be in the slot because he isnt quick enough for that spot. he will most likely be on the outside in 3 receiver sets with maclin moving to the slot.

Nah, look at NFL's best slot receivers Welker, Ahmendola, etc. There all short and fast with great hands. So I don't think he has a chance at the slot.

But I do agree he could see the field in the red zone seeing as how they have no real height at the WR position.

Riley Cooper has some nice size, but that's about it. McNutt has some real tough competition, that's for sure. I'm so glad to see he's an Eagle though! I think they got a steal.

That's a ridiculously low pick for McNutt - Eagles got themselves a bargain, I think.

Gil Brandt on NFL Radio called the McNutt pick a steal by the Eagles. 6th round did seem low. As Ferentz has said, his better days are ahead of him, as he's come a long ways for only playing the position for 3 years.

It is a good organization, so no games, and Marvin will make it or not based on his performance. I think he will continue to grow. Only 3 yrs at the position and he ends up on all-time lists at IA. His hand-eye coord is great, good leaper, good size, willing blocker. Will need to work on routes and consistency.
