McNutt in 6th vs DJK not drafted

Marv fell farther than many Hawk fans could believe.
DJK, too.

Iowa's best WR's just aren't as good as CFB's best WR's. It really is that simple.

Both got what they earned.

Here is hoping Marvin earns some more!

Ferentz blackballs our receivers. More proof.

Philly is going to feel his scorn, right quick. KF will have NONE of that.....

Big difference here though, McNutt just wasn't good enough to get drafted before the 6th round while DJK wasn't drafted because Kurt used his NFL influence to have him blacklisted. He would later extend his influence into the AFL and CFL to keep DJK unemployed.

Does this look like a Mother F'er you want to cross? DJK is lucky his legs weren't broken.

His tentacles are everywhere. He controls football at all levels. He even makes Urban Meyer cheat.

Truly he is Evil Personified.

I still find it shocking that McNutt dove to the 6th round, while guys like Sanu were picked up in the third. After watching both play I can say with assurity that McNutt is much better than Sanu.

I honestly believe that if DJK OR McNutt played in a high powered offense they would have both been higher round draft picks. You look at the stats compiled by BOTH wr's in an offense like ours that doesn't always use playmakers to their strengths. They have an offense game plan and stick to it, which is debatable on if it works. Sometimes you have got to feed your hot hand and let PLAYERS MAKE PLAYS! Sounds like G. Davis is more to this style of play. And I will step down off of my soapbox, I digress.....

No he's not. These NFL player-personnel guys in le NFL don't exists to troll message board fans.

DJK made his choices and the arrests, etc at the time was a pretty big deal. Big red flag. The NFL is full of players who teams have taken a chance on, but typically those players may not have had the physical questions marks, too...

The players who are deemed sure things, or close to sure things, they get more second chances because their ability screams for it. As you saw with Marvin, his ability was deemed late draft...DJK's might have been too, without the red flag. With the red flag, no draft.

I cannot help but wonder if McNutt hurt his draft position by returning for his senior season. Was he not projected as a late 3rd to early 4th round last year?
