McGary vs Woodbury

Just got done watching Michigan destroy VCU. McGary was extremely impressive, moreso than he's been all year. Just curious how others compare him to Woodbury. The kid is going to haunt Adam for the next 3 years.

I would say he will dominate Woody for the next 3 years.

As will the young post guy from Purdue for the next 3 years.

Woody doesn't have the body frame for body building. His shoulders and chest are too narrow. His hands are also weak.

McGary and Hammons will never even see their senior years, probably not even their junior years.

This talk of them owning Woody for the next 3 years is nonsense.
 
All McGary's offensive game consists of is dunks. He's a great athlete, but he doesn't have any post moves. He got wide open dunks all day against VCU, he only had 4 double figure scoring games against B10 teams who don't run gimmicky presses.

I think you are correct, GH, I do believe that Woody has the talent and capability to improve enough to play with them.....

McGary is coming on strong......

BTW, if your wanna talk post players. How about Warney from StonyBrook. That guy impressed the hell outa me. Very good moves in the post. And only a freshman? Wow!
 
And let's not act as though McGary doesn't benefit greatly from being the guy that every team facing Michigan is the 4th most concerned about.

Do you imagine that our 1 - 3 get as much attention as Michigans? Burke, Hardaway and Robinson breakdown opponents and create matchup problems and opportunities that our guys simply cannot. And McGary is the number 1 beneficiary of that. Today's game was a perfect illustration.
