He still has a pretty amazing opportunity. Cully is a pretty sure bet, but after that there is no given this season. Cartwright seems like a good pick up but has yet to step on campus, yet to practice, yet to play a minute or prove anything.
To be in a position to have a punchers chance to get meaningfulll minutes for a B10 program as a true or RS freshmen has got to be apealing.
Heck to even come in with the plan to work your butt off and red shirt, come back and compete with a Jr and Sr your RS freshmen year. To be in a position where you are 1 injury away from being the #2 PG and or be a 3rd year soph competing with true freshmen in a few years....well...not bad either.
It is perhaps not the traditional path but if he comes with the right attitude, sticks it out and works his rear off there are a lot of potential open doors here.
