McCarney/ISU Football correlation to Davis/UI Basketball

Saw article on another site about McCarney (always respected him/didn't allows like him). Couldn't help but see similarity between ISU letting him go and UI letting Davis go. Both had successful programs but fan bases and schools may have gotten greedy and both are still paying the price.

As a Hawk fan I was glad to see him go. As a former Iowan I was disappointed. Thought he was a pretty class guy and could understand kids wanting to play for him.

Funny that Iowa fans are the only ones that realize it was a mistake. ISU and IU fans do not think they made mistakes

Tom Davis is actually whom I meant but I guess you can include Indiana's Davis as well.
