That sucks, I was really hoping for an individual that was strong, and could overcome his weaknesses. Instead we have a failure...

I can only imagine his heavyweight champion father feeling a HUGE let down....
 
kids will be kids. For his sake I hope the grass IS greener on the other side of the fence. I, myself prefer the black and gold vegitation on this side. good luck in the future young man!
 
And another one bites the dust. Is Coker next? Iowa's revolving door with rb's continues. I venture to guess that no other school has anywhere near this kind of record with retaining rb's.
 
Mercy maybe in retaining players in general especially with no turnover on the staff. We have to be pretty high in players leaving a program with no coaching changes and no shady SEC stuff
 
Albert Young is the last senior starting RB Iowa has had. Depending on what Coker does, that uninspiring mark will continue for a few years.

I just don't get it either. Lets hope its just a bad stretch, cuz AIRBHG is going nuts these last couple years.
 
I'm sorry, but what are these running backs doing that's so bad? Potentially 5 running backs transferring or being kicked off the team in a two year period, that nuts. Michigan St let a guy play last year who just got out of jail that week! and there was not a big uproar over that.
I think an explanation needs to be provided to the state of iowa who pays ferentz a 3.8 million dollar salary. We should get a copy of the team rules so we can hold the coaching staff accountable. 5 in two years is just too many to be a coincidence of a bad kids. I though Ferentz was the guy who recruited kids with good values, how can he be this wrong this often or is that a bunch of crap and he is taking any criminal that can run?
I think he ia really gun shy after the sexual assualt a few years ago and DJK last year. He needs to stop making examples of people just because he has been burned in the past.
I thought he was mister level headed and self aware and understood the human condition. He doesn't seem to relate to people at all who are different than he is or have a different world view. My way or the highway does not inspire people. Whew,glad I got that off my chest, now I get on with my day of returning gifts and looking for sweet deals on tube socks at target.

You gleaned all of that about Ferentz's personality based on some running backs who have been suspended and/or been kicked off the team?

Maybe he could ask each player to write up his own set of rules, and then he could individually enforce those 85 different set of rules, because goodness knows, when you're running an organization, you want to let everybody do what they want to do.

Or, maybe, the guys that sign up to play for Iowa could follow the same set of rules that they knew were in place when they decided to come play football at Iowa in the first place. Just a thought.
 
UNREAL. He is big, strong, quick to the second level, appears to be able to make people miss (almost all unlike Coker). It's only natural he would leave the program. Jeez, our attritition rake across the board the last 5-6 years HAS to be the worst in college football. What in the world is going on with IA football.
 
Iowa better sign 8 RBs this time.

It's obvious Iowa's players aren't allowed any input.
The seniors have some 'leadership' input.

Just like the military.

What does the acronym AIRHRBG mean?
