Yep. They risked further, more serious injury continuing to play him this year.

I'm gonna guess if he's playing the injury he's risking isn't a significant issue. Stress fractures completely heal with rest. He's got plenty of time for rest in the off season.

Pretty much this. Plus, with Duff's history of breaking down the severity of foot and ankle injuries (see Weisman's high ankle sprain) I am gonna have to agree with his assessment

Why? He's got six months to rest it if they shut him down now. If we beat MSU and get in the NCAA's with Gesell no one is going to say it was a bad decision. This isn't the 1970's, he's not going to have long term damage from playing on it.

Marble looks much better when he's playing point too, I still think next year he plays point more with MG at the two.
