Probably their first mistake in getting rid of him so quick.
Fun fact, there was a period of time when Nebraska was writing monthly checks to Bo Pelini, Mike Riley, Scott Frost, Shawn Eichorst, and Bill Moos.Probably their first mistake in getting rid of him so quick.
What’s bonkers is that you don’t recognize their greatness, or so said some Fuskerfan.Fun fact, there was a period of time when Nebraska was writing monthly checks to Bo Pelini, Mike Riley, Scott Frost, Shawn Eichorst, and Bill Moos.
That’s right, they had 3 head football coaches and 2 athletic directors on their payroll at the same time. That’s how fucking bonkers that school is.
Frank’s 8-9 wins wasn’t good enough.
Had to take the chance to win divisions, win title, go to CFPs by gambling on the next guy.
Seems like I have heard that before.
And Da Haterz getting rid of KFThem getting rid of Solich was kind of like Iowa getting rid of Mr. Davis. Karma is a bitch.
Nebraska was pretty bad for about 20 years before Devaney got there in 1962. They had about a 25% win rate in the 40s and 50s. It’s really what you would expect. They were able to pretty much defy gravity for about 35 years with Devaney and Osborne and they have been riding that wave down in the 2000’s.I love seeing the fuskers this historically terrible, and I sure hope it doesn’t let up anytime soon. I’m sure they will eventually find a fit that gets them back to the level of success they had under Pelini, but that’s their ceiling now, and I hope we get to watch them flounder for a long time.
Had at least 9 wins every season except one, which was 7. One 11, one 10, and one 12 win season. The title game appearance was a joke though. They didn't even win their conference and enjoyably got ass-whipped by Miami. I don't believe in Karma, but it does kind of seem like it's happening to them.Frank was better than that. He won 10 or more games in 4 out of 6 years, and had a National title appearance.
