Matt Dumbbell Post Games Should Just Be a Recording Shown On Repeat

This dude has the best gig in all of college or professional sports. Came into the season in playoff talk (LOLZ), dropped 4 conference games in a row, and just says the same “Our guys are playing hard, we have to get better, that’s on me, we’ll get it figured out…” BS and his fan base just keeps on drinking the Kool-Aid. Any other school the fans would be rioting, but this is ISU and as long as you aren’t Gene Chizik or Paul Rhoads you’ll get a statue.

I honestly think he’s tanking these games just so he gets to keep the easy job and doesn’t have to turn down a “better one.” Do just enough to keep your job but at the same time keep expectations as low as possible. Formula for success.

They have a decent starting 11 on both sides of the ball. But when they get injuries, like every team does, they don't have the depth to fill those spots. This is where their lack of recruiting hurts them. Campbell can make a diamond out of a rough only so many times.

And to think Clone fans think he won't go anywhere until the OSU job opens up. Im sure OSU is ready to fire Day so Matty doesn't get away.

Their loss of QB1 is going to doom them. #21 RB1 is really good but in the absence of a passing threat they're 22-23 Iowa.

I don't think Nebby is that tough on the O or D line. #21 gets a lot of his production from his own talent.

So when the process lets the team down it follows that it’s a mistake for the team to trust the process. Clownz gonna clown. Are we not entertained?

Is it really just depth?
I mean, I don't imagine you can't say it's lack of development. Maybe lack of "team" development?
In that maybe not enough guys get enough focus and opportunity until they are annointed as a starter? That seems far-fetched.

This isn't the first time they fizzled. I don't know enough to know if in past fizzling it was due to injury. Or they just used to have to play Oklahoma and a K-State who was having a good year.

Or is it that they just aren't that good and benefitted highly by a wrong guess by pre and early season poll voters? They got it right about Indiana, but not ISU? Didn't help that they beat a possibly decent Iowa team that looked completely unprepared to win on that day?

Maybe depth. Maybe the prognosticators just got it wrong.
