I have had a lot of fun looking at the Massey historical data since you showed us that. Perspective.

Math doesnt make our OLine run and pass block any better.
And math doesnt throw off the opposing defenses with our shotgun formation run plays when Petras never keeps the ball and if he did he might only gain a couple of yards. Petras under center the whole game might make our math look better and give our running backs a head of steam.
Math doesnt count for deception and scoring points. I would have a hard time ranking the hawks higher than 20th or 25th based on our offense.

What can Iowa do to shuffle that offensive line? Why isn’t Colby getting more snaps? He grades well under the PFF system.

Math I suppose it also only accounting for what has been done (which things obviously better in the first 6 games and is bumping up the numbers), but can't see with the human eye the shit storm and turd circling the drain now.
But, I do think it is another data point you can certainly point to see where things have been going or may be going.

The human eye is probably the most biased and unreliable measuring stick there is.
