The only former player that I was really pushing for was David Raih as OC and QB coach, but, unfortunately, I think that ship has now sailed. Depending upon how things ultimately shake out, he could still be in consideration when Kirk steps down if the program is still just treading water at that point, and pressure to move on from the Ferentz brand name is high.

Marvin apparently was in the running for WR coach, but Copeland simply had a better resume.

Interesting, I didn't know that.
I always like it when former players are able to come back and join KIrk's staff.
Considering KF will be in the hall of fame, I've always found it strange more of his players/assistants haven't made a name for themselves in the coaching ranks.
