Yeah really wish he'd have made that 47 yarder.. But that kinda summed up his career at Iowa too. He could kick the crap out of it but he'd miss a makeable one with little pressure on him. He's clutch when pressure is on though and that's certainly worth something for kickers. But you gotta be money 45 yards and in. There can't be any wiggle room there.
I loved the reaction of some of the 49ers that they showed after his long one. Making 58 yarders with plenty of room to spare is head turning..

IIRC Billy Cundiff cost the Ravens a Super Bowl trip a few years ago missing a FG attempt from about 45 or so. Gotta make those, especially in training camp.

If you extend the crossbar height backwards to where the ball was when it is 10 feet high that kick might have been good from 70 yards. I think Collingsworth is right and big Al needs his eyes checked.

I agree it had no less then 10 more yards to spare making it 68 obviously.. It very well have been good from 70
