Marquette just beat #22 LSU

3 months from now everyone outside of Iowa City will say it was a fluke win and Marquette was missing five starters and their head coach was locked out of the stadium and there's just no way Iowa could have beat a good team.

In four months, Iowa will be powering their way through the NCAA's and Marquette will be pointing at the game as a good loss.

Agree. ESPN's infatuation with LSU's talent is enough to make me gag. I guess as long as they can talk up Ben Simmons, the product on the floor doesn't matter. Maybe they could talk about Iowa having two players who have already graduated and other student-athlete stories at schools all over the country instead of pumping the next 1 and done to enter the NBA. Ben Simmons will get his stats, but LSU is not a good team.

My hope is that Marquette figures it out and goes on a run the rest of the year. Only makes Iowa look all the more better

Given how young they are, there is a good chance of this happening. They're only going to get better as they gain experience and they have talent. That Ellenson kid is good and will get better as he adjusts to the competition. I think it will be a quality win for the Hawks come resume time.

Marquette completed the tournament with a win vs ASU last night. In fairness ASU has some ok talent but they are hard to watch play. Not sure how they beat NC State the other night. Still a very nice tournament win for Marquette and many nice mentions of the Iowa blow out. They said Wojo was so upset about. That game he took away their practice uniforms and made them practice outside in NY.
