Good point. I didn't realize Greene also had a prep school year in addition to CC year.

as i recall, iowa recruited greeene out of milford academy, which is a prep school. i do not think that iowa recruited him prior to his time at milford academy - which would be different than the situation with Smith. The Smith thing will be totally different too - on timing, iowa's recruiting needs in the future, obviously how he performs, etc.

Iowa recruited Greene out of high school. He originally signed with Iowa in February of '04 before going to Milford for a year and joining Iowa as a true freshman in the fall of '05.

He's going to get recruited harder this time around if he does anything worth while on the field. His chances of coming to Iowa may depend how the younger RB's play and develop this yr, there is a lot of depth and competition in the backfield, for once (knock on wood).

just checked his profile over on rivals - committed 12/2003 and for all you star watchers - he was a 2 star rb at the time......

he went to Milford Academy after HS in MI. I don't think he committed to Iowa prior to Milford? Maybe he was committed elsewhere?

Russell committed to Michigan before prep school.
