You know for the last 2 years at least people have made comments and wondered what Montell's deal was during the season, me included. Wins a few in an impressive fashion, and then lays some eggs and people will wonder wtf happened. Bottom line is he's a true competitor and a champion. When he gets to the BIG's or Nationals (especially nationals) the guy finds something else from within and turns it on. Win or lose today I don't think anyone can argue that the last two years this guy has found some way to make it to Saturday. When it counts the most he gets it done. I hope some of the younger guys take some notes from him and I certainly hope the young guys spend a little time with McD this off season. Metcalf rubbed off on these two and now its time for McD to do the same on some of the young guys like Evans, Telford, and everywhere in between.

He is clutch, but as Brands often states he doesn't need to wait until OT to go after a guy to win. I agree with you he is talented as hell, which is why he should score alot more pts than he does. He is a stud, I would love to see him get the title today.

marion will be a remembered hawk for sure. his first year in the lineup everyone thought he was just keeping the spot warm until Joey came back, but matched him with a runner-up finish. then never really got the respect he deserved.

ill also remember the first time I watched him in the room, he was wrestling donahue sat morning before a football game and it seemed like every person watching was mesmerized by their workout. seemed like an hour and a half where he didn't rest a second. if you never saw him in the room, no one out-worked him.

I've known MM since his high school days. I coached against him a few times then. What a turnaround he has had since those days. So happy for him in what he has accomplished on and off the mat! Let's hope he finishes this off the right way and gets the * he deserves! GO HAWKS
