As I stated in another thread, I think the positive out of all of this is that Marcus is going to get his time to shine and with Iowa still being in play for a number of his former High School teammates, it could pay dividends for the Hawkeyes.

Note to KOK....feed this kid the rock..especially in the red zone.

This is not a meaningless game for the Hawkeyes. There is a lot to be gained.

Markus going into the season was at best #4 on the depth chart. Now starting the bowl game. This goes to show incoming players that they need to prepare everyday as if you might get the call to step up. You never know. IIRC we have had other running backs leave...Brinson?... that could have seen significant playing time. Who knew Wegher was going to screw up (Hhhmmm), Hampton get injured...again and ARob face a couple of suspensions.

I love the kid's heart but sadley he is on the two-deeps. No choice really outside of Rogers who is 2nd FB.
