Calling Wisconsin or OSU a great band is like calling Adam Sandler a great actor. Entertaining, yes - "dude, they're playing the Budweiser song!!!" - but the beer goggle effect is strong.
As for scandals, the big one was the alleged "hotel trashing" in Columbus after the '85 OSU loss.
