Marble, White and Basabe continue their high level of play. We should expect it as they have the experience and have done it before. Marble just hit some big clutch shots when needed and White was all over the place, basabe just works hard on both ends.
But Gesell may have had one of his best games by taking it to the hoop without forcing it like he did some at Wisky. He hit a couple of big jumpers and we needed him as a quick ball handler late in the game. He seems to get a couple steals a game and plays good position defense.
Uthoff is moving and all over the floor, getting rebounds, making shots.
We need Woody and Olesani at center expecially when we play teams with some brawn in the middle but I would like to see more offensive sets get both of these players the ball on a quick pass on the block for a good shot.
Woody especially needs to, as Lute used to say about his centers, go up and through the arms of the defender because as Lute said you cant jump and block if the offensive player is going up through you.
Add in a touch of JO who seems to be getting into form and a bit of McCAbe and Clemmons and the hawks could be on a roll.
