Everyone knows how important it is to pick up a win prior to a bye week. Didn't get it done.

Now the Hawks have to sit on a big ol L for two weeks and stew. Then come the Bucknuts.


I look at the outcome of this game and just say "Huh???" Having some good momentum coming into the Homecoming game, I felt strongly that Iowa would come out on top on this one. I am very much confused with the flatness at which the game was played. Flat as a fart. A few dings for injuries did not help but weren't a total excuse either.

In my eyes the MSU was a must get for bigger and better things this season. Now, I don't really know if 6 wins are attainable. Heaven forbid we do a 7 game skid to end this season......

It really bothers me that I think you are correct. I just hope we can steal one...I vote for a Black Friday win...would make a 6 win season quite a bit more satisfying for me !!

Theres no way he can, his last season worth anything will have been in 2009, almost 5 years ago.

Hes gone if that happens, but I don't think its going to. I think Iowa will rebound. Not at Ohio State, but I hope to hell Michigan State opened their damn eyes, especially at the LOS

Any team with a weak run D the Hawks will at least have a chance against. Michigan is a possible win because they will be looking ahead at the tOSU game possibly. Especially if the Hawks go on a 3-4 game skid the next month or so.

I hope Barta spends the bye calling big donors to raise the buyout money. I still don't see them being able to fire Kirk for another few years. Already the narrative will be we kept the same win total against a tougher schedule (assuming we only win 4 which I say happens) and next year looks bright.

Next year is a joke schedule so it's possible we're worse but win 6 and go to the dollar general expired meat bowl. Then in 2015 we get thumped again and 2016 is another bad year and the year Kirk is fired.
