Malik Williams to Louisville

I feel sorta bad for these players, but at the same time Malik signed with a coach who was already on probation for paying strippers to have sex with players. So its not like it was a secret that Pitino was a shady dude.

Ha! Yeah, right! They'll be given clemency as long as they cooperate with authorities. Especially when threatened by the idea of prison time for tax evasion. You suppose these gifts were reported as taxable income? I doubt it. The sad part is that some may never get sniffed by other schools, if there's any chance they were involved in this type of activity.
 




Not sure I would touch any Louisville decommit with a ten foot pole until they were vetted heavily in regard to under the table payments. Purdue surprises me. Mizzou, not so much.

Mizzou has a nice tradition of cheating. Their new coach has already done some awfully shady things to get recruits. I bet the Mizzou boosters see this scandal as an opportunity to finally gain a foothold in the world of paying for blue chippers.
 


These poor kids are getting their checks canceled, they are going to be in scramble mode and I'm sure the NCAA will be watching their recruitment closely.

On a side note, after this is all said and done I hope the NCAA goes away. I believe the problem starts with the top, they've been turning a blind eye to all of this for years.
 


In my opinion I believe the FBI didn't let the NCAA know what was going on because they probably thought the NCAA would give those high profile coaches a heads up.

FBI isn't obligated to let anyone know what they're doing and for all they know the NCAA heads could have been receiving $,$$$'s too...

I just wonder how far the FBI will take this whole thing. Technically every parent who received payments didn't pay taxes on that money so could be hit HARD by this.

Are they going to go after each and every player and each and every parent? I'm sure they'll at least threaten to do just that if they don't give up their contacts and everything they know. That's why I fully expect a LOT more to come out regarding all of this.

I sure hope so, but it's difficult to be optimistic.
