According to KXNO's Ken Miller, the Las Vegas Sports Consultants have released the over/under number for Iowa and Iowa State.
Iowa is 8 and Iowa State is 3.
Back in the late winter, I wrote the following: "While I am not going to pick Iowa to be 10-2 this year, don't be shocked if the Hawks are underdogs in just two games for the 2011 season when the early lines are released; at Penn State and at Nebraska. I'd say it's a coin flip for the game at Purdue."
Ken has an answer for that one, as he tweeted that Iowa is an underdog (at present) in just two games; road contests at Nebraska and Penn State, at least according to LVSC.
I picked the Hawks to go 8-4 this year, which is close to what Vegas picks. They will want there to be an even amount of 'action' on both sides of the number so they can pocket the 'juice' of course...I wonder how many folks will play that line, since it seems spot on the money with what most pundits are predicting for the Hawkeyes.
