Lunardi finally "made his bed"

Last team out
Tennessee

No one else even qualifies by him now.

If Middle Tennessee makes it, and I think they will, it means one of the 2 must be true :

It is a myth that you have to actually beat someone and racking up wins over poor teams can get you in

or

There is a special exception for low/mid majors.

one of those 2 have to be true for Middle Tennessee to get in (and to a smaller degree St Marys).

F lunardi and Seth Davis too they both will jump on our bandwagon and kiss our butts next year.

I saw a Kansas City area writer tweet Iowa will get in over Boise or Middle Tennessee State. Seeing a few more thoughts along that line today. Would be amazing to see Iowa on that screen at around 5:15 today, holy crap.

Agree, but watching with relative ease....knowing we won't be in but will pee the pants if we do.

Same goes for St. Marys

As and MTSU MBA graduate, Middle Tennessee is an athletic team.
This team was built for a run this year, and for the 2nd year in a row, they choked in the Sun Belt Tournament.

I know year-to-year teams are different, but MTSU won at Tennessee last year in the NIT last spring and barely lost to Minnesota at home.

That loss at Lincoln was the dagger, but the good news is more home games with fans who will have passion throughout the game.
The NIT game against Dayton and the one against DePaul at The Mark has some of the loudest fans in attendance.

The Eye Vitale said that every team with 28 wins have been selected to the NCAA Tournament. Hence, MTSU selection.
IMO, there were 5 teams ahead of Iowa (Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Southern Miss and Virginia), but the NIT should be nice with these teams in it.

When you are allowed to shuffle your picks right up to the very point where the selection picks are made, it would be difficult to blow the picks. My hats off to Lunardi for making a living at bracketology, but your grandmother could do just as well if she were paying attention.
