Luke Lofthouse

I have really enjoyed watching Lofthouse's progress this year. His motor is fun to watch. I was wondering if the coaches were planning on having him at 197 or 184 next year? I imagine he would want to put on a fair bit of weight to be at his best at 197, but he just doesn't have a huge frame. Of course Beatty doesn't have your normal 197 lber frame and it hasn't seemed to hurt him too badly. Any opinions?

Using hurt and Beatty in the same sentence is just wrong. Kid has been so snake bit it hurts to see knowing his desire and how hard he has worked. I assume Gambrall will be 184 and Lofthouse 197 next season but look for Ambrose to push him.

Austin makes some very good points in his post and I agree with pretty much all of it. You will most likely see Ethan Lofthouse at 174, Gambrall at 184, and quite a battle between Luke Lofthouse and Brodie Ambrose for 197 next year.

Ambrose is the more physically gifted of the two wrestlers but needs to completely "live the lifestyle" and not shoot himself in the foot. Luke has made very big progressions as he has spent time in the lineup this year and it will be interesting to see where these 2 are at come next fall. It should be a fun battle to watch and to me one of the things to follow closely this offseason!!
