Lucca Staiger - QUITS ISU Basketball team!

Who quits in the MIDDLE of a season?!? I mean, there has to be more to this, maybe a personal or family matter? Wow, sucks for ISU.

I heard from a Cyclone fan it's because he's going pro in Germany. This explains it.

Just this afternoon, Chris Williams was KXNO saying that it looked like things were on the upswing. 5 hours later, he couldn't be more wrong.

Pardon me if I find this absolutely hysterical.

Chris Williams is an absolute joke. I agree... hysterically funny. I've never seen a so called "insider" with virtually no connections or ability to even have a clue on what is really going on with ISU.

I'll go ahead and give him the benefit of the doubt on this one; it looks like this caught everyone off-guard. That being said, he does have egg on his face, no doubt about it.

The reaction at Cyclone Fanatic has been fairly predictable to this point.

He played more games than Tucker.

So true, so true. And, somehow he managed to do his schoolwork and not get busted for being drunk twice. All he is going to do is go make money. Leaving mid season is as selfish as Tucker's acts, but it wont threaten another replay.

STATEMENT FROM LUCCA STAIGER

“I came to the United States with the hope of playing professional basketball in the NBA. After the past couple of seasons in college, I’ve realized that dream has become less likely. An opportunity to play professionally in my home country has come my way and I’ve decided to pursue it right away. I will miss my teammates and the greats fans at Iowa State and I know this is a bad time to leave. I appreciate the opportunity that Coach McDermott gave me to play at Iowa State, but I felt like it was important to make this move now because the opportunity might not be there in the future for me.”

Lucca is a d-bag. Tucker just has issues. Most d-bags don't change from my experience. Tucker still has a chance.

Hmmm, play for nothing 3,000 miles away from home, or get paid to play a game in your homeland?

Yeah, what a D-bag. He should definately put his life and career on hold so he can circle the drain in Ames for no reason.
